![]() ![]() however, having one of these and a single stack of drone parts can carry you through an entire run. Without any synergy, they fire a decent damage laser and last a decent while before having to respawn. Empathy Cores: while this is a boss item, they are ALSO considered drones by the game.(also works with drone parts and Captain, allowing for drones which can melt bosses) Fuel cells make this an on demand air force raid. These are pretty much a significantly better version of the gunner and missile drones combined, and spawns four at once. The Backup/Strike Drones: while this is an equipment item, they do count as drones.Damage is a bit underwhelming, and are pretty much just target practice for enemies. Gunner Turrets: questionable value early game, not worth keeping beyond stage 4.Always worth taking if you have found another equipment on a stage, just give them the one that either impacts you less, or would be better for the drone. Equipment Drone: they have a built in 20.5% cooldown reduction for whatever equipment you give them. This drone is only really worth it if you are struggling on DPS, and even then it's a gamble on if it will even survive due to how often they get stuck on obstacles and are unable to defend themselves. TC-280 Prototype: high damage, bad AI.Defense is not high enough for these to be of use, due to limited range, and how easily enemies can pick them off. Incinerator Drone: burns more money than it does enemies.Small Drone that follows you and attacks enemies when in range. (Can only be summoned by the Engineer Survivor) Strike. Stationary turret that inherits all your items and attacks enemies within range. but these are generally pretty decent until you loop. A flying machine that will follow you and deal massive damage to enemies when in range. These guys are like a mini disposable missile launcher, same situation as gunner drones for who benefits the most. Missile Drone: higher damage homing missiles.Gunner Drone: fairly weak, but pretty decent early game for melee/low range survivors as they can help deal with wisps and pests.these are typically worth it if you have spare cash if you are on stages 4-10, even more so in multiplayer. Emergency Drone: a strictly better healing drone, heals more per tick, and can heal multiple allies at once.By doing so, you have a very, very difficult to kill, still completely useless drone. Healing Drone: typically worth picking up early game, especially on Eclipse where starting health is halved, or if you don't get many healing items within the first stage or two. If you use the mod for drones inheriting items like the engineer turrets do, you can give Tonic to an equipment drone along with Fuel Cells, Soulbound Catalysts, and Gestures of the Drowned. There once was a glitch involving The Backup and Gesture of the Drowned where you constantly spawned drones until the game couldnt handle it and crashed. Drones are a mixed bag in this game, but I can try to give a breakdown of what they do and where they are useful here: I dont believe there is a hard cap on the number of allies you can have. ![]()
